Ogrydziak/Prillinger selected to present at What Next? symposium at the Illinois Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture.
Symposium Description: For each talk we will ask a leading designer, scholar, or other expert to present a manifesto describing the way forward in his or her area of specialization. Each presentation will be followed by a prepared response and moderated discussion. Unlike typical lectures by architects and academics which are retrospective in nature — telling stories about completed works and past events — What Next? encourages its speakers to think projectively, to make judgments about where the profession should be headed as it faces the crucial decisions that will determine its future.
Other confirmed participants:
Robert Somol (Director of the School of Architecture at the University of Illinois at Chicago)
Joe Rosa (John H. Bryan Curatorial Chair of Architecture and Design at the Art Institute of Chicago)
Sandy Isenstadt (Assistant Professor, Yale University, Department of the History of Art)
Michael Meredith (Associate Professor, Harvard University Graduate School of Design; Principal, MOS, New Haven)
Joel Sanders (Associate Professor, Yale University School of Architecture; Principal, Joel Sanders Architect, New York)
Felicity Scott (Assistant Professor, Columbia University, Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation)
